Deep Creek Lake, located in the mountains of Garrett County, is Maryland's largest fresh water lake with over 65 miles of shoreline and covering over 3900 acres. The lake was dammed in 1925. Today, Deep Creek Lake is a favorite destination for recreational enthusiasts and family getaways. Boating, skiing, sailing, fishing and swimming are just a few of the activities available.
